Okay so I took a bunch of pictures to share the latest and oldest of my DIY projects.....AND they are still on the camera. I know, where is my sense of do it to-iv-ness? Lost in waiting. Waiting for a job offer....and my days are not organized or efficient right now because of it. At least I am able to admit it. I did go to Anthropologie today and felt such joy walking the home areas. I know I was the weirdo hanging around way to long, but I was smiling. There is not a lot there that doesn't make me happy. From tiny blue glass cups to metal lamp shades or oh,oh, I was really loving the fabric napkins! Ah yes the joys of letting my eyes roam and feeling no guilt BECAUSE I didn't buy a thing. Who would in my case, we have recently become a one income household and with that are adjustments.
Lucky for me I have a bunch of paint cans in my garage to choose from! Now if the weather would cool off a bit. It looks like fall but it sure doesn't feel like it. I tried to wear a shoulder sweater thing that made me feel like fall....but at 3:30 I am thinking of putting on shorts and tank! Which I should do if I am going to paint, I ruin everything from being "inspired" to quickly. Now what to paint...got this piece in the garage?????
Pictures soon.

Stitch in the eye!
This LIFE is full of JOY! What a summer it has been...I can't say I am sorry for its' end. My leaves are falling, mostly due to drought but they are falling. As my son told me when the first early morning chill hit him, " This is the time when I turn white." At first I thought he meant dry only to realize he meant to loose his tan! Cool mornings or not, no pool for us anyway. Labor day weekend my 4 year old got 5 stitches in his brow. It started with me teaching both 2 and 4 year olds to two step. The music was loud, there was lots of laughing and wild dance moves. When we started spinning is when we decided to bring out the hula hoop...not such a great idea. A wild spin + clay pot? Ehh, first ER visit for this one.
Today I feel a paint project coming on...one of my favorite blogs "Little Green Notebook", has inspired me to finish the walls in the boys' room. I started a stripe and stopped not liking it. After today I see that I need a smaller stripe, simple and brilliant! Painting is therapy for me, instant gratification, I love D.I.Y. projects. I will paint anything! Since we couldn't go to the pool last weekend, I decided to paint an outdoor bench with the boys. A bright blue, gave the boys foam brushes and did a lot of, "Oh, ahh-ah, right there, no, doh, ah thank you."
